Finishes on Steel Parts
The finishes posted here are done in a variation of ways – the Black and Brassed options are heat treated onto the surface, so they will not flake off – but they will scratch.
(You can fill the scratches with cold-blueing for the black like Birchwood-Casey Steel Black, and with a brassing finish for the brassed hilts from SculptNouveau.com)
The Polished is a very high shine.
The Economy is a hammered look that takes oil well.
