These coifs are of the same welded stainless steel as the shirts. One size fits most. SCA drop test legal for fencing armor… and they just look cool. They fit over regular face masks!
NOTE: If you have ordered coifs in the past (pre-2022), these look just a little different – at least the one I pulled out did!

I bought this coif some time ago when they first came out. Having used leather or heavy canvas ones for decades, wanted to try something new. I was absolutely surprised at the effectiveness of the protection. I did the drop test myself and it was fantastic. So what we have now is something that offers safety, with added breathability (if that is a real word).
Would recommend discussing with your local Rapier Marshal before purchasing or taking the field. They may want to drop test it, but rest assured, it will not disappoint. I am still using the same coif, and it is like brand new.
