Maille Shirts and Tunics from Ringmesh

MADE IN THE USA – BUT WITH A REALLY LONG RESTOCK TIME!  This breathable stainless steel mesh from Ringmesh can be worn under other clothing for excellent protection against cuts and thrusts. Because it is stainless, it should not mark or discolor your skin or clothing. The individually welded links are superior armor, and the air circulation is unmatched.

For SCA enthusiasts, this is drop-tested as legal armor! However, we do suggest you wear a shirt or tunic OVER the maille to keep rubber rapier tips from “sticking” to the maille and possibly popping the welds on rings.  The wire diameter is 0.025″ / 0.62mm, and the ring width is 0.210″ / 5.3mm.

Shirts hit just below the waist (see the picture of the person in the white shirt – PS wear the shirt Over the maille please) and Tunics are another 10″ longer than the Shirts (see the person in the blue) – Tunics hit about mid-thigh or even knee length if you’re thin above the waist.  If you are concerned about the width across your back and shoulders, please add 4-8″ to your torso measurement –  this maille stretches downwards, but not across! Females, the weight of the maille makes your chest size smaller, so you can use your regular measurements.  (We can ALWAYS exchange for the difference in price.)

These measurements are slightly different from RingMesh’s because we are more active in our gear, therefore we need more room.
