Maintenance Kit

This kit includes all you need to maintain your blade. There is a small fine file for blade and hilt nicks, a medium non-woven abrasive for rust removal and to give it a satin finish, and a can of Max Wax and a bright applicator cloth to keep that rust away.

“To remove large nicks, the file should be pushed in ONE direction, only slightly crosswise, down the length of the blade (don’t pull or scrub in one location).   To remove rust, use the red hand-pad (it’s OK to push, pull, or scrub with the hand pad to take off rust.) CAUTION: The red hand-pad and file will leave scratches on highly polished or blackened surfaces.  Finish your treatment by rubbing the entire article with a light layer of Max Wax (hilt, handle, pommel, and blade).”

Suggestion – don’t wash the cloth after use! The more wax in the cloth, the better the coating capability later down the road.
