These hoods are all breathable and machine washable (cold and gentle), but we recommend NO bleach and hang-dry to keep the fibers strong. One size fits most. If you want to put it OVER your mask, please tell me in the Comments – most hoods will go over, but if you wear L or XL masks, I’ll have to make a bigger one!
The REGULAR hoods are the SCA-standard three layers of linen and fit closer to your face with a wider bib at the bottom. They have been pre-washed to remove any excess dye and to pre-shrink the fabric, but we suggest that you can get the longest life with a hand-wash in cold water and air-drying to preserve the linen.
The REDUCED ARMOR hoods are two layers of the same breathable washed linen, with all the seams tucked inside the layers so they don’t annoy your head or tear out as quickly.
Finally, I’ve figured out how to deal with parti-color and three-color hoods as well – so if you are from Ansteorra and you want a Black And Gold, I can do that – or green and gold, or red and green… just don’t ask me to mix Natural with other colors, because I’m almost certain the other colors will bleed and make your hood a very sad looking thing. Just click Other* and let me know what your color choices are!

Top notch work, serves me very well in SCA practice. Amazing service, to boot! It’s a simple garmet, but everything I needed and hoped for. I got mine in dark green on the sides, with black on front and back. Extra benefit: the pattern makes it easy to find the openings after it’s been rumpled up. 🙂 Don’t hesitate to contact the proprietor for any questions or custom requests!

These hoods are the gold standard for SCA rapier/C&T. Linen means they are nice and breathable.
