There are quite a number of extant versions of this hilt. They seem to have existed from the early 17th Century to the late 18th C. They are found both with long quillons and the earlier vestigial or removed quillons.
Our version is made with a hollow pommel and is by far our most robust baskethilt. If you are planning to do heavy training, this is the ideal hilt for you. It comes standard with the training sidesword (DA4SS) blade, but the backsword (DA4BA) blade can be mounted for an additional $40.
