The teardrop shape of the plate provides hand coverage and the supporting bars give good rigidity. The Stars and Clovers design is eye catching and popular without adding too much weight.
This Pappenheimer comes mounted with a 42″ practice rapier by default and weighs about 2.2 lbs.
